Vigdis Siri is a professional duojár/Sámi handicrafter with an atelier and a shop in Nesseby. She got her training at Sami high school in Jokkmokk, with the specialisation: ‘soft matters’, in Swedish: ‘mjuksløjd’. She also holds the official Norwegian duodji certificate, in Norwegian 'svennebrev'. She studied and did courses in fish skin tanning with Lotta Rahme in Sweden, with various first Nations in Canada (in Vancouver and elsewhere) and in Greenland.
